Most people coming to Glasgow (or Scotland for that matter) arrive via Glasgow Airport (In Paisley, Renfrewshire)... Transport links to Glasgow, Paisley and the rest of Scotland are pretty good.
Plans are in place for expansion of Glasgow Airport plus the possibility of a rail link through Glasgow and into Edinburgh.
With the Recent Terror attacks on Glasgow Airport the terminal building is restricted to authorised vehicles being parked next to it to prevent a similar event from before.

There are cheaper flights from Glasgow all over Europe and the Rest of the world. (but it would be nice to see people use flights less often due to the amount of pollution that flying causes).

There is a bus that takes you to the rail link as well in paisley gilmour street from Glasgow airport.
I also think it would be good if people flew less, not only on account of carbon emissions but also to lessen noise pollution. Every additional flight causes more and more intrusion into the lives of those who live under the flight paths.
It would be good if everyone reduced thier use of planes for an overall reduction in CO2 emisions as well as noise polution and wasted resources.
the noise pollution number has been added to the original message, I am not sure what kind of action they would take if you complane about aircraft noise...
maybe they will re route all of the flights away from your home.
